Common Sense Says...

By Jueseppi B.

Common Sense says.....
This is Mr. Obama's 9th vacation since taking office. As of today, he has spent all or part of 38 days on "vacation" away from the White House. He has also made 14 visits to Camp David spanning all or part of 32 days. It brings his total time away to all or part of 70 days.
As of this point in his 1st term, Mr. Bush had made 14 visits to his Texas ranch spanning all or part of 102 days. He also made 40 visits to Camp David spanning all or part of 123 days. His "vacation" total at this point in his Presidency was all or part of 225 days away. Bush wins this contest as to whom was on vacation more.
Oh one more thing.....The POTUS does not vote/pass legislation to create jobs, he merely signs it when it is passed. He can NOT sign it while the House of Representatives and The Senate, are off on vacation. Is that crystal?

The Congressional Black Caucus/Tavis Smiley-Cornel West:
There seems to be a backlash from the "African-American" community over POTUS Obama NOT making each Brotha/Sista independently wealthy, since only us Black folk voted Him into office. I will let POTUS Obama answer this for himself:
“I will tell you that I think the most important thing I can do for the African-American community is the same thing I can do for the American community, period, and that is get the economy going again and get people hiring again,” the president said. In further stressing a broader view the president said: “I think it's a mistake to start thinking in terms of particular ethnic segments of the United States rather than to think that we are all in this together and we are all going to get out of this together.”

The Supreme Court/Citizens United:
This is amazing. There's a good chance that The Supreme Court may have to re-litigate and reverse provisions in Citizens United. Particually since many of the largest corporations are international. This is the #1 issue in politics for me. The money involved in politics is obscene....and until we demand a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United by the current Supreme Court - your vote...your voice will be disenfranchised. We need to get the money out of our politics...its time to cut out the cancer.
