Democrats ~VS~ Republicans

By Jueseppi B.

Democrat ~VS~ Republican. The typical fight of good versus evil, which one is which….I’ll let you decide that for yourselves. My goal is to provide you with information. This is going to be a long read, and involved, which goes against my writing style, but if you need to know the difference between a Democrat and a Republican…..read this.

Differences in Philosophy

While there may be several differences in opinion between individual Democrats and Republicans on certain issues, what follows is a generalization of their stand on several of these issues. A Democrat is typically known as a supporter of a broader range of social services in America than those advocated by Republicans. Republican philosophy is based on a limited influence of government and a dominant foreign policy. Republicans are considered on the “right” end of the political spectrum while Democrats are on the “left.” The far right generally is pro-religion, anti-bureaucracy, pro-military, pro-business and pro-personal responsibility. Republicans, usually considered conservative (fiscally as well as socially), maybe a little pious, pro-business and against the bureaucracy often associated with big government. They see big governments as wasteful and an obstacle to getting things done. Their approach is Darwinian in that the strong shall survive, cream rises to the top, etc.
To the far left of the spectrum are the extreme liberal, or the most extreme democrats. Democrats are considered moreliberal. Democrats tend to favor an active role for government in society and believe that such involvement – be it environmental regulations against polluting or anti-discrimination laws – can improve the quality of people’s lives and help achieve the larger goals of opportunity and equality. On the other hand, Republicans tend to favor a limited role for government in society and believe that such reliance on the private sector (businesses and individuals) – be it avoiding unnecessary environmental regulations or heavy-handed anti-discrimination laws – can improve economic productivity and help achieve the larger goals of freedom and self-reliance

Health Care…..
Prior to the passage of the Affordable Care Act by Democrats, Republicans widely supported the idea of an individual health care insurance mandate, Newt Gingrich being perhaps the chief supporter. Republicans have always preached about how people need to take responsibility for themselves, and now that a law exists that makes people take responsibility, the GOP is rejecting it simply on the grounds that President Obama and the Democrats passed it. Republicans = Evil.

Israel/Palestine….
Israel Going Back To Pre-1967 Borders) Many Presidents have suggested this, even George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush. But once President Obama repeated it, Republicans immediately denounced the President and threw their support to Israel’s President. This action by Republicans is totally unprecedented. It is reprehensible for American politicians to support a foreign leader more than the American President. Imagine if the Republican Party had overtly supported Hitler over FDR during World War Two. The only reason Republicans are rejecting President Obama’s plan is because they cannot bring themselves to endorse any idea he suggests, even if it is a Republican one. Republicans = Evil.

Dream Act….
Immigration reform has been touted by Republicans for decades now. Reagan granted amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants in the 1980′s. Most recently, Republicans worked on immigration reform under the Bush Administration and failed. President Bush and Senator John McCain both supported immigration reform and were willing to cross the aisle to work with Democrats, most notably Edward Kennedy. All of that work and bipartisanship ceased after the 2008 Election. Staunchly opposed to President Obama and anything his administration supports, Republicans turned their backs on immigration reform in favor of militarizing the border and laws that violate the civil rights of Hispanics. Obama’s Dream Act would do much that Reagan would approve of, but Republicans refuse hear anything of it. Republicans = Evil.

Medicare…..
I’m aware that Republicans initially opposed Medicare when it was passed, but since its passage into law, Republicans have largely defended it, especially when they try to pander to senior citizens for votes. But if Republicans really wanted to kill Medicare, they would have actually done it when Ronald Reagan was in office. Reagan opposed Medicare when it was created but then did something quite unexpected as President. He saved it. By saving Medicare, Republicans practically endorsed it. Even Theodore Roosevelt supported national health care. And now the GOP has come full circle once again by opposing it, and are trying to slaughter it and the millions of seniors that rely on the popular health care program. Why? Because President Obama is in favor of keeping Medicare around for a very long time and Medicare represents just how popular government-run universal health care can be. So technically speaking, Republicans were against Medicare before they were for it before they were against it.
Republicans = Evil.

Infrastructure Spending….
Republicans have always believed in strong infrastructure, until now. Republicans used the power of the federal government to build the railroads in the 1860′s and 1870′s, the Panama Canal in the beginning of the 20th century, and the interstate highway system in the 1950′s. Yet when President Obama called for new infrastructure spending to improve America’s crumbling roads and bridges and to improve our rail lines, Republicans immediately reversed their long-held belief in a strong American infrastructure. Why? Because they hate President Obama and oppose everything he believes in, even if it was once a part of the Republican platform. Republicans = Evil.

Social Security….
Social Security is popular with everybody, even the staunchest right wingers. Ronald Reagan and Milton Freidman supported the New Deal programs of the 1930′s and even Ayn Rand collected Social Security up to her dying breath. Ronald Reagan even saved this program too by raising payroll taxes. This action also saved Medicare as it is part of the Social Security Act. The idea to privatize Social Security has popped up many times but has been met with negative reactions by a majority of the people so those ideas usually die in infancy. President Bush wanted to privatize it, but never did. Republicans had control of Congress and the White House from 2001-2006. If they had wanted to kill Social Security, they would have done so. But now all of a sudden they feel now is the time to privatize it, even as big bankers have proven that they are untrustworthy with money. Oh, and President Obama supports Social Security. Just another reason for Republicans to hate it. Republicans = Evil.

Deficit Spending…..
This one is big. Republicans have employed deficit spending since the Reagan years and abused it during the Bush administration to pass the conservative agenda and to fund wars. Reagan doubled the national debt and George W. Bush proceeded to double it again. But because Democrats controlled the White House and the Congress from 2008 to 2010, Republicans completely reversed their stance on deficit spending and still oppose deficit spending solely on the grounds that a Republican isn’t President. If a Republican were President right now, you can bet the farm that they would abuse deficit spending once again to slam the destructive anti-middle class, anti-poor, anti-women, and anti-America agenda through Congress with no thought about fiscal responsibility whatsoever. Republicans=Evil.

Federal Reserve….
The Federal Reserve is now a target for most Republicans, which is puzzling because it was a Republican idea. Proposed by Republican leader Nelson Aldrich to organize and regulate the banking system and to enforce monetary policy, and thus stabilize our financial system, the Federal Reserve Act was signed into law by Democratic President Woodrow Wilson in 1913. Republicans now want to dismantle or weaken the Federal Reserve because President Obama needs it to enforce Dodd-Frank which will make banks more responsible and accountable, and will protect consumers. Republicans = Evil.

Civil Rights……
Republicans were once the champions of civil rights as well. They ended slavery and adopted the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments. They splintered over the Civil Rights Act in 1964, although it was a Republican led Supreme Court that ruled in the Brown v Board of Education case, and have become more and more opposed to civil rights ever since. President Obama has called for increased civil rights and because of that, Republicans now oppose civil rights for everyone except Christian white males. Republicans = Epic Evil.

Women’s Rights…..
The women’s rights movement was born in and grew with the Republican Party in the mid 1800′s. Many Republicans supported voting rights for women although to pass the 19th Amendment it took women threatening to cause Republican losses in the 1920 Election to persuade them to help pass it in Congress. As women gained more equality, they also demanded equal pay for equal work and reproductive rights. Ronald Reagan legalized abortion as Governor of California in the 1960′s and a moderate conservative Supreme Court handed down the Roe v Wade decision in 1973. Today’s Republican Party is now waging a war against women and the harder Democrats and President Obama fight for women’s rights, the harder Republicans will fight to eliminate them because of orders from white Christian extremists. Republican = Epic Evil.

Minimum Wage….
The way Republicans have been talking about abolishing the minimum wage, you would think they’ve always been against it, right? Wrong. 82 House Republicans and 39 Senate Republicans joined the Democratic majority in passing the Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2007. President Bush signed the bill into law. It is only now that President Obama stands with the American workers that Republicans oppose the minimum wage on behalf of their corporate masters, most notably, Koch Industries. If Republicans were so against the minimum wage, they would not have voted to raise it. Three times. Republicans = Fail.

Abortion…..
It may sound really far-fetched but there are many pro-choice conservatives out there and some politicians are part of that group. Take Ronald Reagan for instance. He made abortion legal in California as Governor of the state. And most recently, it was discovered that extreme right-winger Rick Santorum’s wife had an abortion to save her own life. In my opinion, that means Santorum is for the procedure when his wife’s life is on the line, but every other woman needs to die rather than exercise their right to an abortion which was ruled to exist in Roe v Wade by a conservative leaning court in 1973. Republicans = Fail.
In Closing, I think you can see clearly which political party is “For The People, By The People”, so vote Democratic.

"Say It Loud, Obama's Black & I'm Proud!"

By Jueseppi B.
Yes, I said it, "Say It Loud, Obama's Black & I'm Proud!" And YES, I voted for Barack Hussein Obama because he was Black. I didn't, however, cast my vote for Rev. Jessie Jackson, or Rev, Al Sharpton, when they ran for POTUS. Both of whom are Black as well, so that might mean something to the unknowing caucasian. I don't just vote based on color, you would have to be Black, intelligent, savvy, well educated, a natural born leader, diplomatic, a user of common sense and logic, a critical thinker, have high morals and be a family man, love and cherish your wife, and be a tactician, for me to vote for you if you were a Black candidate for President Of The United States (POTUS). Which is why I cast my vote for POTUS Obama in November of 2008.
Many might say, "you voted for Obama because he is Black?" To which I might respond, "you're damn right". If you caucasians, can vote for the past 43 POTUS, based on them being white, and if you caucasians can NOT vote for POTUS Obama because he IS Black...why the hell would you think I would not vote my preference,  for a Black American to sit in the oval office as President? Get real people, every single obstructionists,  parliamentary procedural, move made by the GOPretenders, has been based on race. When a caucasian says "I don't care if he is Black, I just dislike his policies"....that is code for "I don't like his skin color." Something like a caucasian arguing they are not a racist because they have "Black friends". Yeah, let one of those "Black friends" start dating your daughter!
Racial pride is something everyone should experience in their life time. The night, of November 4th, 2008, when all the news casts reported Barack Hussein Obama as the President elect of The United States Of America, and the media shots of the crowds crying in Grant Park, Chicago, that was racial pride. The feelings of happiness and elation, over dreams finally becoming reality, were spectacular. Some have allowed jealously & envy to get in the way of those feelings, but not I. Personal pettiness and those  trivial jealousies, have no place in this historical Presidency. This President has shown time and time again, by his achievements and his accomplishments, that he stands for ALL Americans, not just the Black American, or the White American, BUT ALL Americans.

So....Yes I voted for Barack Hussein Obama because he is Black, but NOT only because he is Black, had he been Jessie, or Rev. Al "DO" Sharpton.....no way. I take pride in my vote, and here is some news for all you who are aghast that I admit voting for POTUS Obama because he is Black......I am voting for POTUS Obama on "NO"vember 6th, 2012....Again. Because He Is Black!
Say It Loud...Obama's Black $ I'm Proud!!!

Jobs....Who's Responsible?

By Jueseppi B.
I have been hearing a lot lately about jobs. Here is an estimation of just how many jobs are missing each year and other ideas about the unemployment rate in America. There is no doubt that jobs and the unemployment numbers of Americans, are on the minds of all Americans, those with jobs worry about keeping their jobs, and those without a job, of course, worry about finding a job. Here’s my quandary…exactly whom is responsible for providing jobs to and for Americans? Who do YOU think is responsible?
It continues to be batted around Facebook, that POTUS Obama is the worst POTUS ever when it comes to jobs. Another LIE told by the GOPretenders. Here is the person, the Wall Street Journal, labels as“the worst record on jobs on record”. I tend to believe The Wall Street Journal. So my question to you is this…Who Is Responsible For Creating Jobs? I think that responsibility falls to the private sector and to our local government, and NOT The POTUS. A President can sign legislation, to give federal dollars as an incentive to the private sector, to create employment/jobs. A President, with the help of Congress, can secure  funding to build up our American  infrastructure system, which will create jobs. A President can offer tax breaks to private companies as incentive to hire veterans, or minorities, or the handicapped. A President can come up with all types of plans to create jobs, but a President has no real ability to create one job on his own. Not one.
This is the latest fiasco of deflection of a phony issue, onto the shoulders of this POTUS. There was the “birth certificate” non-issue. Followed by the “religion” non-issue. Lets not forget the “Ground Zero Mosque”  non-issue, even though this place of worship for NYC, and it’s rather large Muslim community, was not near ground zero. Then there was the non-issue of his aunt being an illegal, living in America. Followed by the latest attempt to draw attention from important accomplishments, the dreaded “vacation” non-issue. All these “issues” were invented by the GOPretenders and the teaparty-baggers to keep the focus off the things this President was accomplishing, and the media was the ring leader. Jobs were not much concern for the RepubliCANTS while they were focused on any one of these non-issues.
So, you see, it is not about jobs at all, it is rather about race. I know….you say that I think everything is about race. Well, as was said by Snoop Dogg, “well ain’t it tho?” Race play’s a major part in every issue with this President, because things are being done daily, to this President, that have never been done to a sitting POTUS ever….in history. This POTUS has constantly fought for the American people, to have affordable, working health care, to have student loans deferred, to save social services from being hacked to pieces by the religious right, battled to have social security payments, veteran benefits, and all entitlement checks go out on time. All for the average American. So why on earth would he be the most hated on, the most talked about, the most disrespected, President Of The United States?
Skin Color….. NOT Jobs.

Religion

By Jueseppi B.

OK, I am a Christian, and that means I believe in Christ & his Father, God. I do NOT believe Religion is to be used by GOPretenders OR Democrats OR Progressives OR Independents OR Libertarians OR ANYONE, for political gain, or for use in any way other than God intended it to be used.....for your own private, personal salvation.

I do NOT believe it is my job or responsibility to "convert" you or talk you to Christ. And by the same measure of respect, I do not believe it is my place to bash, ridicule or degrade your beliefs, however they differ from my beliefs. You are an Atheists, or an Agnostic, I am happy for you. You are a follower of Islam, or a Buddhists, may your days be filled with peace and joy. What I am getting at here is this.....America was founded on religious freedoms, so I will not bash, degrade or belittle what you believe in....and I will demand, and receive that same respect from non believers. Or we will do battle.

I own/administer to a few groups on Facebook, and of course with them being "open" groups....all issues are out there for discussion. I find a lot of members like to blame religion in general for the few people on the "Religious Right" who are misguided about what religion is actually all about. Religion should never be used to gain a political office, religion should never be used to control anyone's sexual orientation choices, religion should never be used to beat people over the head to come around to your way of thinking.

Religion is NOT Thor's Hammer. The Bible, is a book written by humans, it is subject to human interpretation and was NOT written by God or Christ. Your faith, or lack of faith, or whatever you choose to believe in, is YOUR business, not mine.
Using religion for ANY purpose other than your own personal private salvation, in my unhumble opinion, is against the Laws of God, and if you are a believer, then believe you will be dealt with in time by powers greater than I.

God has told NOBODY to run for elected office, that is a lie. God does not punish people from the LGBT community, with natural disasters or HIV, that is a lie. God does not want Rick Perry or Michele Bachmann to be POTUS, that is a lie. I believe God wants us to live right, do whats right, and be an example for the youth by being right in how we live daily. Nobody is right yet, because we all are sinners before God. To be free of sin would mean we are perfect, and nobody is perfect. Well...Ms. Julie Kindle Driscoll is damn near perfect, but she smokes so....

My point is, when you who are NOT believers or who are not religious, but maybe spiritual, blame ALL religious people for the shameless foolery of a few whack jobs who use religion for the wrong purposes....that is just wrong. I, nor others who believe, are to blame for the religious right and their unChrist like ideas. Blaming every Christian for what the religious right does, is akin to me blaming every Caucasian for what a few white supremacists or racist are responsible for doing, saying and believing. I would be wrong, and so are you who place blame on ALL Christians for the Perry's & Bachmann's of the world.

I hope this makes it clear what religion is all about for those who finger point and degrade Christians. To be a Christian is to be Christ like in your living. We are nowhere near being Christ like yet, we strive to be so each day, but we fall short and sin, which is why we need Christ/God in our lives. We choose to believe, just as other choose not to believe.

Primarying Obama

By Jueseppi B.
There appears to be a quiet storm brewing, to primary POTUS Obama. If you think hurricane Irene did some damage to the eastern seaboard over this past weekend, let these morons attempt to primary the President. TheDemocratic Party will quickly become the Divided Destroyed Democratic Party, formerly know as the Idiot Party. U can not primary greatness you fools.
This POTUS has 245 current accomplishments, all achieved in 954 days time, with the full opposition of both Houses Of Congress, depending on what issue is currently before which House. And you want to primary HIM? I hear all the stories of "disappointment" in this great man from all sides but especially from inside his very own ranks. How can anyone possibly be "disappointed" in a President that has fought for ALL Americans, against the elitists top 2% of Americans? Daily this POTUS fights for the middle class, the lower class and ALL of the Americans who fall in between. If you believe yourselves to be "disappointed" now, just wait to see what happens if you dick around with this man's Presidency, and allow some circus clown from the GOPretenders Party to gain the White House in 2012, I guarantee you "disappointment will be the last thing on your mind. Not one past POTUS, that includes 43 men, have had the opposition from all quarters, as this man has had against him from day one. We won't even get into the natural disasters, the man made catastrophes, and the fake, phony issues created by the tea party-baggers to distract us all from this POTUS's agenda.
Some names I hear batted around as potential Primarying candidates areHillary Clinton & Bernie Sanders, Sanders is not even a Democrat! I think what it boils down to is the Democrats looking for that "great white hope". Once again racism rears it's ugly head. But let's concentrate on this Primarying thing...what message do you think Primarying President Obamawill send to the GOPretenders, and to every American voter who voted for Obama in 2008? No confidence in OUR President. If there is one man on this planet that I have full and unwavering confidence in, that one man is Barrack Hussein Obama, 44th POTUS.
There will be no Primarying of this President. We The People will not stand for that garbage, that disrespect for this POTUS who has worked untiringly for US. A list of POTUS Obama's 245 Accomplishments, in 954 days, can be viewed here:
I find all this Primarying talk as foolish as I find the GOPretenders running the current crop of circus clowns, as potential Presidential candidates. That hilarious group is a disgrace to the Grand Old Party. One more time in case you missed it above: If there is one man on this planet that I have full and unwavering confidence in, that one man is Barrack Hussein Obama, 44th POTUS.

Black America Suffers From Amnesia.

I truly believe that some of Black America is suffering from Functional Amnesia because they have put up a defense mechanism to shut out the truth.  When Ronald Reagan took office in January 1981, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate among African Americans was 14.6 percent.  In December 1982, it was 20.9 -- 43 percent higher. When Barack Obama took office in January 2009, seasonally adjusted unemployment was at 12.7 percent.  In December 2010, it was 15.8 -- 24 percent higher.  I arrived at those figures from an article by Media Matters that was trying to dispel l some information in an article that wanted to say that Ronald Reagan was actually our first Black President before they called Clinton our first Black President.  I quickly adjusted my lens to see if I had gone into the Twilight Zone.  I knew I was wide awake but something just had to be wrong with me.  For the life of me, I could not call President Clinton or President Reagan our First Black President.
In the 80’s jobs were scarce and we even had a CTA Bus Strike.  I had taken a job as a Computer Operator.  I lost my job because I was the last to get hired.  Banks and other businesses were closing left and right and it was very difficult to find a position.  I have always been a workaholic and so I ended up taking a job in a Distribution Company in a Warehouse.  I had three children and worked hard and went back to school and took more computer classes.  It took at least 3 years before the market opened back up.  We struggled and we suffered but we persevered like we always have.  There was nothing that made me feel all warm and fuzzy about President Reagan because the poor suffered.  I remember the government cheese, butter, peanut butter and potted meat that some were receiving.
Tavis Smiley and others are acting as if we have never been here before.  This is a statement that was made by Tavis Smiley during President Reagan’s presidency.  Ronald Reagan “tortured” blacks. Tavis Smiley, the PBS television host, once said this about the former president.  NBC’s Bryant Gumbel and New York Times columnist Paul Krugman, among many others, consider Reagan a racist.
In 1992, 10 million Americans were unemployed, the country faced record deficits, and poverty and welfare rolls were growing. Family incomes were losing ground to inflation and jobs were being created at the slowest rate since the Great Depression.
When President Clinton and Vice President Gore took office, economic growth averaged 4.0 percent per year, compared to average growth of 2.8 percent during the Reagan-Bush years. The economy grew for 116 consecutive months, the most in history.
President Clinton also got rid of Welfare as we know it and he also got rid of General Assistance and thus the reason why he had a surplus.  When General Assistance was abolished, I saw more homeless people than I have ever seen in my life.  Most of our Service Men and Women were on General Assistance and it was a program that assisted them in transitioning from being at war or taking care of our country.  No one wants to admit that this also helped to increase poverty.  Where did they think these people were going to go?  After the demise of General Assistance, I was on my way to work and saw hundreds of people lying in front of Carson Pirie Scott and other stores.  They had been turned out of their homes and the shelters were too full.  The South saw a large influx of homeless people because it did not get cold there as it did in the North.
Under President Bush II, the national debt has grown by more than $4 trillion. It's the biggest increase under any president in U.S history.

On the day President Bush took office, the national debt stood at $5.727 trillion. The latest number from the Treasury Department shows the national debt stood at more than $9.849 trillion. That's a 71.9 percent increase on Mr. Bush's watch.

The bailout plan in Congress could add hundreds of billions of dollars to the national debt – though President Bush said he expected that over time, "much if not all" of the bailout money "will be paid back."  The government is taking no chances. Buried deep in the hundred pages of bailout legislation is a provision that would raise the statutory ceiling on the national debt to $11.315 trillion. It'll be the 7th time the debt limit has been raised during this administration. In fact it was just two months ago, on July 30, that President Bush signed the Housing and Economic Recovery Act, which contained a provision raising the debt ceiling to $10.615 trillion.

Deputy Press Secretary Tony Fratto declined an invitation to comment on the enormous jump in the national debt during Mr. Bush's presidency. He referred to OMB – the Office of Management and Budget, which tried to make the case that as a percentage of the economy, the national debt is not that big.

In its budget documents in February, OMB estimated that next year's national debt would hit $10.4 trillion – which it said would amount to 69.3 percent of the gross domestic product – the standard measure of the size of the economy.

That's high – but far from an all-time high. After World War II, the national debt soared to over $270 billion – a quaint figure by today's standards. Numerically, it's less than the amount of federal deficit we now run up in a single year.  But back in 1946, the Debt amounted to 121.7 percent of the size of the total economy.

OMB press secretary Corinne Hirsch, renewed the oft-made government argument that reporters should focus on just that part of the national debt that is held by the public – now about $5.6 trillion and not include that portion billed as "intra-governmental holdings" – money the government owes itself – especially the Social Security and Medicare trust funds.
President Obama has won passage of a number of sweeping pieces of legislation, notably a health care bill that will eventually provide near-universal coverage, a goal that had eluded Democratic presidents for 75 years. Other big victories included the $787 billion stimulus bill, passed in February 2009, meant to shore up a failing economy, and a financial regulatory reform measure, passed in July 2010, meant to reduce the odds of another Wall Street meltdown.
President Obama has been stymied on measures like immigration reform and a cap and trade system to reduce carbon emissions by the steadfast opposition of Congressional Republicans, who were joined on some key votes by conservative Democrats. His popularity fell steadily — from 70 percent to under 50 percent — as unemployment stayed stubbornly high. By official accounts, the recession ended, but the recovery was too tepid to knock more than a few fractions off the jobless rate. The White House admitted that it had underestimated the extent of the recession, the worst since the Great Depression of the 1930s.
With voters angry about the economy and frustrated with Washington, the Tea Party Movement rose to prominence pushing a radically anti-government agenda, while on the left, pride in accomplishments like the health care bill was diluted by a belief that President  Obama was too quick to compromise, too concerned with the well-being of the banks and too reluctant to fight.  This President did fight but because of the same divide and conquer that we are witnessing now, the Republicans had their greatest gains in 80 plus years.  They recaptured the House and cut into the Democratic majority in the Senate.
Later that month, Congress returned to Washington for a lame-duck session that Republicans said would be shaped by their new ascendancy. In fact, after striking a compromise with Republican leaders on the Bush-era tax cuts, Mr. Obama and the Democrats reeled off a string of victories, winning passage of the New Start treaty, the repeal of the military's "don't ask don't tell policy'' and a fund for workers at the World Trade Center site after the Sept. 11th attacks.
President Obama was held hostage and chose the poor and the Middle Class thus extending the Bush tax cuts for all income, not just that below $250,000 but in return the Republicans signed on to agreeing to keep benefits flowing to the long-term unemployed, cut payroll taxes for all workers for a year and take other steps to bolster the economy.  The agreement provoked anger within the Democratic ranks.  You complacency tied his hand.  Your staying home or voting Republican has made people have to fight harder.
President Obama would never had to be held hostage if we could have gotten our Black Leaders and others that voted for President Obama to give him the same respect and time that had been allotted  our other Presidents.  We now have some of our Black Leaders and our Scholars calling on President Obama to address the poor.  The poor did not begin on President Obama’s watch and while I can understand where some of them are trying to come from, he is the President of the United States.  The more programs we allow the Republicans to disband, the more poor we will have.
Please contact our Government officials and ask that this President be respected.  Please give him the same time that you gave your other Presidents.  We have been here before and it is time that Black America gets back behind this President.  We have a long fight ahead of us and we cannot allow complacency to put us back to pre-Civil Rights.  This is still a Civil Rights Moment and it is time that we act like it.  He is our First and we have no idea what he is up against in that White House.
We want jobs but we also want training for all Americans.  We don’t want any less for all of America.  When we come together, we are a force to be reckoned with.  If they see us behind this President, they have no other choice than to join us.  If we fight him and call him names, you open up the floodgates and he deserves so much more.  He is not weak.  He is very strong and he has shown you time and time again.  Wake up from that deep sleep and work with President Obama.
